Earlier, in the 17th and 18th centuries, Indians exported cotton-made two-piece wholesale pajamas, sleepwear, and loungewear to British merchants and those in the eastern countries. However, the usage by Indians only began post-World War II and in the late decades of the 20th century. Today, they are the most comfortable casual wear for people when lounging, relaxing, or sleeping.

In general, men’s comfy clothing is abundant. From t-shirts to shorts, vests to pyjama pants, almost everything except the slim-fit suits and pants looks loosely fitted and comfortable. Of these, pyjamas are worldwide popular and they have become a daily wear for men at home. Also, for hot seasons like summer, they are considered one of the best-suited bottom wear.
